Set up payouts for stays

Connect a Stripe account so guests pay by card when they book, with requests held on their card.

Guests pay into your own Stripe account. Until payouts are set up, guests can still ask to book and you arrange payment with them yourself; Instant book needs payouts.

Set up payouts

  1. Step 1Open Payouts in your workspace.
  2. Step 2Select Set up payouts with Stripe and give Stripe your business details and the bank account payouts go to.
  3. Step 3Come back to Holuway. The status shows Ready to take payments once Stripe has what it needs.

What changes for your guests

  • A guest's card is held when they ask to book and charged only when you confirm.
  • Declining, or not answering within 48 hours, releases the hold.
  • If a guest cancels a paid stay, they are refunded what your cancellation policy gives. If you cancel, they are refunded in full.

Holuway's commission on Stays bookings is shown on the Payouts page. It is taken from bookings paid by card only, and given back in the same share when you refund.
